Green 101: Paul Smith’s College Offers Junior Steward Program

I really do love it when young people are connected and involved with the environment, and so it’s great that nearby Paul Smith’s College is gettin’ at ’em while they’re young!

From the Watertown Daily Times:

PAUL SMITHS — A new summer program for young people has been established at Paul Smith’s College’s Visitor Interpretive Centers.

The Junior Adirondack Steward program will be offered to children ages 8 to 12 from noon to 3 p.m. Saturdays, beginning this week and running through Aug. 20. It will offer participants hands-on lessons about watersheds, Adirondack ecosystems, clean air, wildlife and recreation.

The program costs $20 for one session or $75 for all six sessions, with some scholarships available.
