Fall Fashion at the Perch

Despite still experiencing 80 degree days, the Five Birch Perch is undergoing an autumn makeover. I filled some wine barrels with beautiful yellow mums from Kring’s Nursery, hung a locally made wooden butterfly above the Five Birch sign, helped myself to unique pumpkins, sunflowers and glads from friend Michele’s garden, setup a centerpiece table arrangement with antique wooden pumpkins from An Eclectic Boutique and created a festive fall garland with scraps of felt. Some corn stalks from Michele’s will also be tied to the mailbox and steps, and we finally got our wood stove put in! It makes the whole room look so much better (not to mention the amount it will save us on heating), along with the lovely new rug bought for us by some coworkers as a wedding present:

Now onto Halloween decorations!

  1. I love your decor! I’ve actually been thinking about making some Samhain decorations with felt. I’m thinking bats for my windows at this point… Love the leaves!

  2. Your home is looking beautiful! I love the felt decorations…..so clever. And the rug really looks great.
