Presented by Dr. Laurie W. Rush, RPA, FAAR – Cultural Resources Manager, Public Works,  Environmental Division, Fort Drum

As soon as the ice began to melt, people began to enter the northern New York region.  From 10,000 years ago through the present, Native Americans have been a part of these lands and waters.  Using examples from archaeological finds at  the Fort Drum Cultural Resources Program, Dr. Rush will describe the changing people and cultures of the area and how we learn from the objects and features that they have left behind.
